Chilli night and muffin time

Hello and welcome to our first post! This particular food adventure consists of a bag of bruised bananas that we purchased for $1, but produced TWENTY-FOUR muffins!!! 12 of which had chocolate chips and the remaining, raisins...

And behold! Chili! We almost had a chili mishap (it looked quite watery...), until the intrepid Kwanie ran to the grocery store to buy a small, but important can of tomato paste. Aaahh...and the big pot of chili was saved. It looked pretty fan-fricken-tastic. Check out the sweet slices of fresh avocado we placed on top too. Oh, and parsley flakes just for aesthetic enhancement har har

On a cold blustery Vancouver day, what is better than a hot bowl of chili?

Although, summertime (Kenny Chesney understands my pain) is coming to a quick close, the time for warm, comfort food is upon us. Spicy chili is one of the ultimate fortifiers against rain, wind and post-graduation stress. Also, both chili and muffins freeze well, which means the good food keeps on coming weeks after cooking.
